Quail Run Energy Facility

Quail Run

Navasota Odessa Energy Partners LP, known as the Quail Run Energy Center, is an 825 Mw natural gas combined-cycle facility located on 180 acres near Odessa, Texas. The facility is strategically located near the Waha natural gas supply basin. This facility will help meet the growing energy needs of Texas and will also displace less efficient natural gas steam generating facilities in ERCOT. The facility consists of General Electric 7EA combustion turbine generators, natural gas-fired heat recovery steam generators, and condensing steam turbine-generators.

Quail Run is studying the feasibility, and working with Permian Basin Council of Governments, to covert this facility into an Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle ("IGCC") facility by adding gasification. By converting to IGCC, Navasota will utilize Best Available Emissions Control Technology, environmental friendly solid fuels conversion, and will create co-products such as CO2 that can be sold to the oil production market for enhanced oil recovery.
